A. Background
Firstly Batik Karang Setio Comes from Batik Jambi which then moved to Kerinci to make a particular kerinci batik that has an incung motive. The name of Batik Karang Setio taken from Karang which mean Strong and Setio means loyal.
Batik Karang setio has been held since 1995. From 1995 until
now, Batik Karang Setio has gotten many achievements such as from the Governor. The owner of Batik
Karang setio is Mrs. Elita. Mrs. Elita employs 5 of batik worker with the whole
salary. It means batik maker who does more batik will get the highest salary.

Batik Karang Setio is located in Tanah Mendapo Street, Number 55, Sungai Penuh Village, Sungai Penuh Town, Jambi.
To know how to make
batik Karang Setio. First, we have to prepare the plain / mori fabric for the

society who comes from Sungai Penuh, Let’s we keep our cultural heritage. Because cultural heritage
is the original identity of our region. Like Batik and Incung. Don’t let other
countries judge them as theirs. then let us celebrate our culture. do not get lost
